Finding the total number of records in a file
The Total option quickly counts the records in a full set or subset of records.

To find the total number of records in a filter, select the Total option. A message appears at the bottom of the window:

This message tells you how many records there are in the current form. If you are looking at a subset of records, it tells you how many records are in the subset.
